Susan Hipp

Executive Director, Network of Employers for Traffic Safety

Susan Hipp is the executive director of the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety. NETS is a collaborative group of employer road safety professionals whose objective is to advance road safety for employees, their family members and members of the communities where they live and work. Hipp is responsible for overseeing and leading the organization’s operations and services, including international growth, conferences, the annual benchmark process, and other road safety programs and initiatives. She joined NETS in 2013 as a marketing and operations manager, and oversaw many projects including the NHTSA Cooperative Agreement Employer Outreach Program. 

Prior to joining NETS, Hipp worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Manchester University.

Fred Haas

Safety/EMS Manager, Geisinger EMS

Fred Haas is the safety manager for Geisinger EMS and the EMS manager for Knoebels Amusement Park. 

Over the course of his career, Haas worked for many EMS services in central Pennsylvania including hospital, fire, private, and air-medical. He spent 23 years at Sussex County EMS. Throughout his career, he’s received several awards including Paramedic of the Year, Field Training Officer of the Year, and Supervisor of the Year. In 2018 Fred was also the recipient of the Robert W. Jones EMS Instructor/Educator Award given by the Delaware State EMS Association. He is a graduate of the Williamsport Hospital Paramedic Training Institute.

Chief Andre French

Mifflin County, PA Regional Police Department

Andre French is the chief of the Mifflin County Regional Police Department in Pennsylvania. Before being promoted to his current position in 2020, he served in a variety of positions at the police department including patrol officer, patrol corporal and patrol sergeant. He began his career as a police officer in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania in 2000. Over the years, French has seen the tragic consequences of vehicle crashes, including the results when drivers and passengers don’t wear a seat belt.

French is participants in grant programs related to impaired driving, aggressive driving and occupant protection. He carries the goal of saving lives through data driven enforcement. French received a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Juniata College.
